Accessibility statement

1.0

We want everyone to be able to use codersclutch.com, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, magnification or voice control, and people on slow mobile connections.

The standard we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We test with automated tools (axe and Lighthouse), with a keyboard only and with the VoiceOver screen reader, on desktop and mobile.

What you can expect

On this website you should be able to:

  • skip straight to the main content with the "Skip to content" link
  • move through every page with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline
  • navigate by headings and page regions with a screen reader
  • zoom to 200% without losing content
  • stop moving content: carousels pause when you hover, focus or touch them, and they do not move at all if your device is set to reduce motion

Known issues

We know about these problems and are working on them:

  • Auto-scrolling carousels do not yet have a visible pause button. They pause on hover, focus and touch, and stay still with reduced motion turned on.
  • Some sections are built twice, once for mobile and once for desktop. Only one is shown, but screen readers in some browsers may meet repeated text.
  • Some older images and videos may still lack a full text description.

Report a problem

If something on this website does not work for you, or you need information in another format, email info@codersclutch.com with "Accessibility" in the subject line. Tell us the page and what went wrong. We aim to reply within 5 working days.
